Meet Isabelle

My journey has always intertwined with the healing arts, wellbeing, and the pursuit of wisdom and natural living. As a child I learned meditation, observed my mother gardening and making herbal remedies and was inspired by tales of my grandmother’s hands on energy healing. I earned an integrated master’s degree in Osteopathy from England and have practiced in Whangarei since 2015. During this time, I continued to look for ways to improve myself and my skills as a therapist. The quest for profound and lasting shifts in my own and other’s health and wellbeing has been challenging. I discovered that a truly effective and holistic approach to health is hard to find and would require continual study and development. This is particularly true for complex cases where physical symptoms stem partly from deep and often unconscious patterns of thinking and feeling. These manifest for example as stress, anxiety, depression, addictions and low self-esteem, to name a few. To address these, I completed a certification in Yuan Qigong and Ren Xue teaching, Yuan Ming Techniques and Havening Techniques. These modalities are based on meditation, qi (energy) techniques, ancient Chinese wisdom culture as well as modern science and neurology, which include understanding how trauma affects the brain. My goal is to empower people with the tools to manage their health themselves. I deeply enjoy co-creating a sense of community, belonging, friendship and mutual support which inspired me to offer weekly classes and volunteer at the local PHA (People’s Health Alliance) hub.
